Note:   Effective 6/17/03, these documents are being published in DRAFT form.  While we expect that there will be no significant material changes, ACS may clarify and improve these specifications prior to their finalization.  It is expected that the word "DRAFT" will be removed by July 3, 2003. ANSI ASC X12N 835 Companion Guide 1.0 - The ANSI ASC X12N 835 (Healthcare Claim Transactions - Institutional, Professional and Dental) Companion Guide is intended for trading partner use in conjunction with the ANSI ASC X12N National Implementation Guide.  The ANSI ASC X12N Implementation Guides can be accessed at http://www.wpc-edi.com/Insurance_40.asp.  This guide outlines the procedures necessary for engaging in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) with ACS EDI Gateway, Inc. and specifies data clarification where applicable
