ANSI ASC X12N Georgia Companion Guides

Companion Guides are intended for trading partner use in conjunction with the ANSI ASC X12N National Implementation Guide.  The ANSI ASC X12N Implementation Guides can be accessed at http://www.wpc-edi.com/Insurance_40.asp.  This guide outlines the procedures necessary for engaging in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) with ACS EDI Gateway, Inc. and specifies data clarification where applicable.

Proprietary Specifications

Note:  DCH encourages providers/submitters to move to HIPAA formats as soon as possible.  As of December 31, 2003, GHP will support only the HIPAA formats.

  • Proprietary Institutional Healthcare Claim Specification Manual Version 1.0 - The Proprietary Institutional Healthcare Specification Manual is intended for use as a stand-alone document for those individuals electronically submitting proprietary healthcare claims transactions.  This guide outlines the procedures necessary for engaging in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) with ACS EDI Gateway Services, Inc. REVISED 02/19/03

    The Proprietary Institutional Healthcare Claim Transaction was developed by ACS EDI Gateway, Inc. to enable those applications that are unable to output the standard ANSI ASC X12N to submit electronic healthcare transactions to Georgia Medicaid/PeachCare For Kids.  It is modeled heavily on the Uniform Billing (UB) 92 Version 5.0 format.  The UB92 Version 5.0 format specifications manual offers field-by-field breakdowns and definitions.  This manual may be accessed at     http://cms.hhs.gov/providers/edi/edi3.asp.

    The Proprietary Professional and Dental Healthcare Claim Transaction was developed by ACS EDI Gateway Services, Inc. to enable those applications that are unable to output the standard ANSI ASC X12N to submit electronic healthcare transactions to Georgia Medicaid/PeachCare For Kids.  It is modeled heavily on the National Standard Format (NSF) v.3.01.  The HCFA 1500 format specifications manual offers field-by-field breakdowns and definitions.  This manual may be accessed at     http://cms.hhs.gov/providers/edi/edi3.asp.
